Our programs and activities include:
Health & Wellness
Weekly, we offer morning and afternoon walks, in-person and online Otago Fall Prevention exercise classes and online Chair Yoga. Twice a year, we offer a 12-week StrongerMemory® brain exercise program to help stave off cognitive decline and mild dementia.
Social
We offer many opportunities throughout the year to gather for seasonal parties as well as a Lunch Bunch group that meet for meals at local restaurants. Online, we offer Open House gatherings and Village-themed bingo games.
Cultural
We organize trips to museums and other cultural venues. Our online Armchair Travel Series offers docent-led virtual art tours and photography from our members’ world-wide travels. We celebrate the creativity of our members and partner with The Parks at Walter Reed for live jazz and other events.
Educational
We hold author talks, arrange speakers, and hold discussions on topical issues including end-of-life planning, avoiding scams, and aging well.
Members and guests are welcome to attend all ERCV sponsored health and wellness, social, and educational activities, as well as some programming offered by other DC Villages.
Only ERCV members are eligible for volunteer services and consultations with our Village MSW Case Manager.
